TEAMS 4 volunteers
The UPeCe centre offers a lot of opportunities for volunteers. Volunteers can choose from 22 teams that operate in the centre, in which they would like to participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities conducted in the centre, but also outside of the centre.
The UpeCe centre provides space for the personal development. This is achieved via main activities of our teams. There are 22 teams with approximately 300 volunteers / members. Recruitment of volunteers into teams is during the year. Everyone is warmly welcomed!

How it works
Each team has specific areas of implementation. Volunteer may learn a lot when participating. All activities are targeted and focused on specific tasks. Work on the ground. Learning takes place informally and in practical activities. When carrying out tasks volunteers acquire new skills that they can use in their lives. Each team has its management consisting of the leader and members. Leaders are elected by the members of the team. The team creates its strategy for the whole year. They meet once a week and its activities are carried out continuously during the week according to set targets.
A volunteer will have space to realize their own ideas and projects. The idea of the centre even requires that each member would overcome themselves and that he / she would create something for others. A supervisor will assist during the realization of the ideas and projects and help him carry it out according to their cabilities and capabilities of thecentre.
Volunteer is available to choose one of 22 teams. Best for the volunteer is to join only one team. Some students participate in more teams. It's challenging, but it all depends on the motivation and time, which can be used for volunteering activities and the activities of the team.
Almosteach member of the team can speak English, so the communication should not be a problem. A supervisor will inform the members of the teams of a newcomer volunteer who is interested to come and join the activities. The team meets at 18:00 and conduct their activities between 18:00 and 24:00. A volunteer assists to the centre coordinator from 14:00 to 18:00.

Motion
1.Sport team
Scope: Sportsmen are responsible for the arrangement of sport activities in our centre. They prepare various regular and ad-hoc events and trips. They also actively contribute to other activities of the UPECE centre. On top of that all, they attend many more sport events in Bratislava and its surroundings.
Activities: The team meets shortly prior the beginning of sport matches/activities for about 2 to 3 hours. They plan and prepare the overall program, check sport equipment and also create invitations for those events. Table tennis match, florbal, all UPECE star florbal, table soccer, and 24 hour florbal match are those belonging among the most favourite matches of the centre.

Scope: The team arrange trips and hiking trips in mountainous parts of Slovakia and sometimes beyond the Slovak borders. Thanks to the trips variety each hiking fan will find something for them. Everybody is of course welcome!
Activities: Hiking team organise over 20 hiking trips annually. Usually these are 3 day expeditions (Friday to Sunday). The trips are organised during all seasons.

You may meet a lot of friends and also to learn something new. Never mind if you cannot cook! Two hands and willingness to help are sufficient.

Scope: The main responsibility of the team is to prepare flowers for masses. By doing this they contribute to a more ceremonial atmosphere of a liturgy. Taking care of an esthetical touch of the UPECE facilities is one of further responsibilities of the team. The team endeavour to make the centre facilities a cosy place to spend time. The team also take care of table decoration for balls.
Activities: Members of the team prepare flower decoration, various decoration objects for balls, events, etc. They work with variety of materials. The team meet on an ad hoc basis allowing sufficient time in advance of a particular event.

6.Technician team (Zvukari)
Scope: Technician team provide installation of a sound system during masses, concerts, theatrical performances and during other UPeCe events, which require technical support. UPeCe is capable to support resolution of all problems related to the sound system installations.
Activities: Members of the team meet on a regular basis to prepare for any event. It is the team of technically experienced students. There is a lot to learn working as part of the team. Skills acquired during supporting the technician team will make from a young person an experienced technician.

Scope: We take care of the UPECE web site in order for that to be available on internet and also on your computers. We help people and the teams to collaborate, communicate and present themselves under the UPECE brand. At the same time, we are making sure that all visitors are able to use internet and computers anytime they need.
Activities: Team meet irregularly. This is often on occasion whenever there is a need to fix, enhance or change something.

You do not need to be a programming prodigy. It is sufficient to know the basics and the rest will be picked up while working.
Activities: Members of the team execute control and update of the centre’s web site in order the most recent information to be available on the web in a timely manner.

Activities: We meet 5 times a week for 1 – 2 hours to rehearse singing and playing with which we decorate all UPECE’s activities.

Scope: Every Sunday families often travel UPeCe to Mass, which takes about two hours. For children it is then important that they create a special space where the time to fully digest. For this purpose, created by children's catechesis.
Activities: children's catechesis Team shall meet to prepare their activities once a week for about two hours. Usually it's Saturday night around 19:00. At this meeting, prepares the agenda and activities for children 4-12 years. The actual program for children takes place every Sunday around 10:00 to 11:30, during the Mass.

The team meets once a week throughout the year to prepare activities and building healthy relationships and a good team.

The prayers of those people who were the advocates of the centre and those who also knew that further operation of the centre needs support of these prayers. Therefore we meet every Sunday to ask the God for his blessing for the UPECE centre, for its priest, coordinators, all teams, events and also for every person whoever gets somehow connected to the centre. At the same time, we pray for pleas of those people who place their pleas into the box at the chapel. We organise Prayer evenings once a month at the chapel. This is to allow everybody to join who feels like to pray with us and thank God for everything we get through UPECE.

Scope: The main role is to help (lat. Ministrare) preparing for and during a mass itself. We serve at the Lord’s altar every day, but also we assist during bestowing the Sacraments or during consecrating rooms in dormitories.
Activities: Acolytes meet 5-10 minutes in advance of a mass in a church sacristy. Sacristans meet 30 minutes prior a mass and prepare liturgical objects and facilities for celebrating Eucharistic offer. They also clean the liturgical facilities after masses. There are 8 masses during a week for which both acolytes and sacristans prepare.
